Good evening everyone.
Thank you for a great season despite all the setbacks.

The final results are in.

1st Place with 255.5 points – Mike Megyesi & Tom O’Brien
2nd Place with 253.0 points – Matt Brooks & Kisha Munn
3rd Place with 252.5 points – Tony Klimek & Jim Willis
4th Place with 251.0 points – Alex Badgley & Josh Enyart
5th Place with 248.0 points – Drew Falkenberg & Jim Lippincott
5th Place with 248.0 points – Stan Franklin & Tim Franklin

9th Place with 216.0 points – Tim Bartholomew & Dave Landis
10th Place with 199.0 points – Dan Huffman & Tanya Huffman

Considering that from 1st place to 7th place is just 22.5 points, it was a pretty tight season.

The weekly results online contain the following reports:
-        Season standings
-        Week and season statistics
-        Match results for the week
-        Pairings, tee times and handicaps – which is just the final handicap

The results from Wednesday are updated on the Recap of the Prev. Week page at www.

Next week's contests:
Nothing… we are done.

Pre-paid league play is done.
We will attempt to keep playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays providing the weather
cooperates.
Possible fun items:
-        2-person scramble
-        Four clubs and a putter
-        Start from the gold tees, par moves you back, bogey means you stay put, double
bogey or higher moves you up.

If we play, you will have to pay the green fees.

I'll see you on Wednesday…. Hopefully.

Drew (aka Captain Arby)

PLEASE BE READY BY YOUR TEE TIME IF NOT A FEW TEE TIMES BEFORE.
If you or your partner or your opponents are not ready at your assigned tee time, the
foursome at the next tee time team will take your place.  This pattern will be followed until a
group is ready to tee off.  Your group should always tee off at or before your assigned tee
time (unless you’re the group that was late).
Last year we had a group ahead of us hold us up.  Obviously if that happens again we won't
hold that against the people teeing off.

Stroke limits on the holes are double par.  If you reach double par and have not holed out,
please pick up and write down the score either circling it or putting a “P” next to it.  Thank you.

We are playing winter rules.  Especially in the spring with the rain and the muck you may lift,
clean and place your ball through the green.  You may not do this in a sand trap.  However, if
there is water in the trap, you may move your ball out of the water.  If you have any
questions, please contact me.

Please remember to watch your pace of play. This means keeping in sight of the group
ahead of you. Always be ready to hit your shot when it is your turn.  Don't leave your cart or
bag in front of the green while you putt. Move to the next tee area as quickly as possible.
Being that this is league play and some social time is a normal occurrence, these rounds may
last a little longer than a typical 9-hole round. However, our rounds should not be consistently
exceeding 2 1/2 hours.

If you need a sub, I have an email distribution list that I can fire off an email to. Please give
me a little bit of a heads up. It's easier to get a sub if I send out an email earlier rather than
say after 3pm. Also, the sub list is on the web.
Remember, you can always get anyone to sub, they don't have to be on the list. I would like
to know in advance if you do have a sub so I can have the card ready. The sub list will have a
person's email address and sometimes their phone number.

- Tee Boxes
In the spirit of the USGA Tee It Forward program and handicaps linked to tee boxes,
handicaps will determine the tee box you will use for each round.  Each week your handicap
will determine the tees you can use.

Handicap in whole numbers       Tee Box used
0 to 3                                         Blue
4 to 19                                       White
20 to 29                                     Gold
29 and up                                  Red

If you are on the lower limits for each range (say a 20), you may hit from the previous tee
group (white in this example).
If you are hitting from the Blue tees, you will not give more than 1 stroke per hole on par 3’s
and 4’s and 2 strokes on par 5’s. (revised 2019 with the equalized handicap tees)
  • The 2020 Hakmups league starts Wednesday, May 13 and ends September 9
(due to the two cancelled weeks).
  • The sub list is available on the 2020 League Info page.
